Het doosje met alles

All spiders are horrid. Small or large or in between, hairy, with shining bulbous abdomens and silent eyes that know of death and smell of traps. 

All spiders are scary, made more by millennia of human fearmongering.  

The third worst spider is the one you can see. 

The second worst spider is the one you need to see twice, to make sure it was actually a spider and not a bundle of grassy strands. 

But by far the worst one, the one you’d rather not imagine, the one that makes people tear of the wallpaper and then the walls when they can’t find it, is the spider you can hear, in the darkness, clicking its eyelids.
